November H2BAR Box Review

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving. I can't believe that it's already December! This year has gone by so fast. It's that time again where I tell you my opinion about this months How to be a Redhead subscription box. The November box was taken over by Paul Mitchell. They were promoting their new line, NEON. NEON is an anti bullying line. It's about being yourself and encouraging girls to embrace their individuality. I personally love this message and I love the line. Instead of coming with a card that explains all of the products, this box came with a pamphlet that described the products, the NEON line, and Adrienne and Stephanie's (the founders of How to be a Redhead) own story about their experience with bullying. Now let's get to my review.

Face Masks

Lately I've been trying out quite a lot of face masks and I have definitely become obsessed with trying more. Last week when I took a trip to Ultra to buy some more of my Soap & Glory sugar scrub, I came across two more face masks that I decided to buy. I decided to compare those two face masks to one of my favorites, the PCA Skin Revitalizing mask. Here's my review on these three masks.

H2BAR October Box

Hi everyone! I know that I haven't posted anything through the month of October, but I have a good reason. I've been trying out the products in the How to be a Redhead October box. I have fallen in love with these products and I am so excited to be writing this post. When this goes up it will be November 1st, so I hope that you all have a wonderful Halloween and enjoy this post!

Box Description: Red leaves bloom and fall, replicating the many beautiful shades of red hair. There are approximately ninety days of fall, so let's put the season to use in the best way possible. It all starts with soft red locks; glowing, healthy skin, and bold beautiful redhead brows. It's our time to shine.

Snail Mucus Sheet Mask?!

Yes, you read the title of this post correctly. A few weeks ago I decided to try a snail mucus sheet mask. I've used many face masks before but I'd never used a sheet mask. I was actually very excited about using a sheet mask. I was going to buy either a 24k gold sheet mask or the snail mucus sheet mask. As you can tell I decided on the snail mucus.

Alex and Ani Bracelets

Hi everyone! I'm sorry that this post is going up on Thursday instead of Tuesday, but there's a very good reason for that. I was in Iowa over Labour Day weekend spending time with family and I had forgotten to write this post before I left. So here I am writing this on Tuesday. I will definitely be back on track next week.

Todays post is going to be about one of my favorite things: Alex and Ani bracelets! My sister was actually the one who got me interested in Alex and Ani bracelets (thanks sis). In this post I'm going to talk about the bracelets that I have. I also have some Alex and Ani necklaces so if you want a post about those then comment down below.

My Life In 8 Photos

A few years ago I saw a post on Zoellas blog called "My Life in 8 Photos" and I thought that it was a really great tag. She wrote the post back in 2009 and I thought that I'd like to do it too. So here are 8 photos to describe my life. Join in if you'd like!

My YouTube Favorites

Whenever I do a post like this it's usually about my favorite bloggers. While I do love talking about my favorite bloggers, I thought that I'd mix it up and talk about some of my favorite YouTubers who aren't bloggers. I've been watching some of these people for a really long time and some others I've only been watching for a few months. I would also like to add that none of these people talk about fashion or beauty products (I definitely watch a variety of people on YouTube).

Behind the Blogger: A Few Unknown Facts

At the beginning of last year I decided to write a post called Facts About Me. The post contained 26 facts that people may or may not know about me. Its now been over a year since I posted that so I thought that I would share some more facts.

1) My favorite food is pancakes.
I go to IHOP every year on my birthday because of my love of pancakes.

2) My childhood fear was large birds.
I feel like I need to tell the backstory for this. When I was a kid there was a peacock that they let roam around the Kansas City Zoo and I was always terrified that it would run after me and attack me. I was also afraid of the animatronic crocodile that was outside of Rainforest Cafe, but that's a story that I'll save for another time.

What's In My Bag?

I love when people do this post. I've seen it so many times and I'm always fascinated. Maybe it's because at times I can be a bit nosey? I'm not sure but that doesn't really matter. I've decided to do this post myself. I will say that I don't carry around too many things because I'm very organized and I don't know what I would do if my bag became insanely messy!

This is the purse that I'm using at the moment. It was a Christmas present from my parents a few years ago and I love it so much. It's a Michael Kors purse and it has quite a lot of space which is what I love most about it.

My Favorite Blogs Part 2

Hi everyone! About a year ago I wrote a post about some of my favorite blogs which was about Zoella, Fleur de Force, and Morgan York. Today I'm going to be doing another post about some of my other favorite bloggers. These bloggers also post videos on YouTube so I will post links to their blogs and YouTube channels.

A lot of people will know Tanya Burr from wither her YouTube channel or her blog. She is a makeup artist from the UK and she has her own makeup line which came out in early 2014. I love watching Tanyas videos and reading her blog posts. She gives such great advice and her makeup tutorials are so great. But Tanya doesn't just talk about beauty. She also posts about lifestyle, baking, fashion, and traveling. Tanya's blog is tanyaburr.co.uk and her YouTube channel is called Tanya Burr.

My Favorite Hair Care Products

This is the first time that I've done a post about hair care and I have to say that I'm very excited about it. Some of the products in this post were in my last blog post about the How To Be A Redhead subscription box and others are products that I've been using for a while but haven't mentioned before.

H2BAR Subscription Box Review

Last month I decided to sign up to receive the July H2BAR Subscription Box. How to be a Redhead was started by two redheaded sisters Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti. They started the website a few years ago and came out with the subscription boxes last October. When I got an email last month notifying people that there were open spots for the subscription boxes I jumped at the chance. I canceled my subscription after I received the box only because I'm on a budget. I however am going to try to sign up for the October box. The box came with eight products that have been approved as redhead friendly and each box comes with a card describing each product. Here is my review on the July box.

PCA Skin Review & Routine

I've never really had much luck when it comes to skin care products. I've tried products from brands like Proactiv, Neutrogena, and Clean & Clear. All of the products that I used from those brands caused my skin to break out quite badly. Using those products helped me realize that I have very sensitive skin. I started getting acne when I was around the age of 14 up until a few months ago.

Back in December I entered a contest on www.howtobearedhead.com. I won the contest and received some products from PCA Skin and I can tell you now that my skin has never looked better. The products haven't caused me to break out and they are good for sensitive skin. These products truly are a blessing for someone like me who has very sensitive skin.

The Epilepsy Effect

Todays post is going to be quite personal so you'll just have to bare with me on this. I've decided to write about epilepsy and my experience with it. My epilepsy is not something that I like to talk about but I've been thinking about writing this post for a while now. So now here we go.

I've never enjoyed talking about my epilepsy for two reasons 1) I've been judged because of it and 2) I've heard so many rude and insensitive comments about seizures and epilepsy. I never want people to judge me based on the fact that I have epilepsy which is why I don't tell people about it when I first meet them (wouldn't that be a fun conversation?). I started having seizures when I was 8 years old and from that age until the age of 13, people made fun of me for it.

I'll never understand why people think that it's acceptable to make fun of seizures. Think about different medical conditions that people have. Would you make fun of them for it? A majority of people would say no, so why is making fun of seizures somehow ok? It's NOT! I will say that most of the rude comments that I've heard about seizures were not directly aimed at me. Some people might ask why I never said anything to the people who made those comments. My answer to that is: those people weren't worth my time. I realize that may sound very harsh, but it's true. If someone makes rude comments about you or something that you can't control, then they aren't worth it. I will admit that there were times when I wanted to say something but thankfully I was able to control myself.

Beauty & Self Confidence

Me at age 6. Freckles and all!
I'm a big believer that inner beauty is much more important than outer beauty. Yes, I do love makeup but that's a choice that everyone makes for themselves and I don't wear it because I feel ugly on the outside. I wear it because I like it. I didn't always believe that inner beauty was more important though. For years I was obsessed with how I looked on the outside and it all started with my hair.

#Match4Zara

Tweet from Zara's friend
Hi everyone! Today is going to be a different type of post. I'm not posting about my favorites, or beauty, or even fashion. Today I'm posting about a 13 year old girl named Zara. I know that this post is very different for my blog but if you stay with me I think you'll realize why I'm posting about this young girl.
